Technical Support Position | B2n Managed Services Division

DSW is looking for individuals with working servers, desktops, firewalls and routers experience to join our Technical Support team.

Responsibilities:

  • First level Technical Support, logging, and issue routing
  • Customer/User follow up and resolution
  • Hardware/Software maintenance (perform updates and patch installs on a regular basis)
  • User account administration (new user setups, password regeneration)
  • Research of hardware, accessories, and peripherals
  • New software installations
  • Hardware repair and troubleshooting
  • Equipment returns to manufacturer
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows based workstations and servers
  • Document policies and procedures
  • Administer Exchange and SQL servers
  • Light Unix/Linux administration
  • Provide end users support for all LAN based applications
  • Rotating on-call status and occasional weekend and evening hours are required for this position.

Experience:

  • Exposure to Unix/Linux based systems
  • Support of end users on Microsoft Office and Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Troubleshooting and resolving Wide Area and Local Area Network issues
  • Voice Over IP and IP Telephony experience is helpful
  • Exposure to Cisco routers and troubleshooting of Cisco networks
  • Support internet related equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless appliances
  • Experienced in Windows Server 2000/2003 builds and administration
  • Experienced managing Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Thorough knowledge of Office 2000/XP/2003
  • Knowledge of centralized management techniques including service pack and hot-fix installations via WSUS, and remote firmware updates
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
