Data Systems Worldwide Achieves Silver Certification
from Cisco Systems, Inc.

Tuesday, September 4, 2007 - Data Systems Worldwide, Inc. ("DSW") announced today it has achieved Silver Certification from Cisco Systems®. The Cisco® Channel Partner program provides DSW with the resource framework to develop an expertise to sell, plan, design, implement and operate Cisco networking solutions. To earn Silver certification, DSW had to meet or surpass the stringent personnel, training, customer satisfaction, specialization, and post-sales support requirements set forth by Cisco. CRN Industry Hall of Fame
Frank Mogavero is Inducted

The CRN Industry Hall Of Fame honors the creators of information technology and those that steer the high-tech industry and channel in new directions and lift it to new heights. Since 1997, CRN and The Computer Museum History Center have held a special ceremony to induct the new Industry Hall Of Fame members. This year, CRN recognized five new members in an awards ceremony that was held on Nov. 15 at the Westin in Santa Clara, California. (full article)

Jack was clearly outmatched when he climbed the beanstalk. The giant was bigger, stronger, and had tools Jack couldn't use. Apple-Unix Convergence Powers Mac Switch

Frustrated with crashes on his Apple Macintosh, book publisher and Web pioneer Tim O'Reilly used to call it the "Crapintosh." But since Apple issued its Unix-based OS X operating system last year, O'Reilly has been singing a different tune.

"A lot of my friends and customers are switching to OS X because of its Unix underpinnings," O'Reilly said during a break early this month at an OS X conference his company sponsored in Silicon Valley for Unix developers. "The Mac is a unifying force now."

The scenario goes something like this. OS X, based on a Unix variant called Berkeley Standard Distribution, is providing developers with an attractive user interface and consumer platform. (full article)
